- 4 hamburger split buns
- 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/3 pounds of ground beef sirloin
- 4 slices of pepperjack cheese
- 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1/2 cup of diced white onion
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 4 slices of tomato
1 – Preheat the grill to a medium-high heat. In a small bowl, mix together 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and the mayonnaise. Then set it aside.
2 – In a large bowl, using your hands mix together the ground sirloin, onion, jalapeno pepper, garlic, 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, and the Worcestershire sauce. Then divide your mixture into 4 balls, and flatten them into patties.
3 – Lightly oil the grilling surface, and place your patties on the grill. Let them cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until they are well done. When you get to the last 2 minutes of cooking, lay a slice of cheese on top of each patty. While the cheese melts spread the seasoned mayonnaise onto the insides of the hamburger buns. Put the burgers in the buns, and top with lettuce and tomato to serve.
